2012 Season
Sam was named as just one of three grade 10's to the Victoria Premier Eagles (Roster is predominantly Grade 11 and 12) as one of two starting catchers. The Premier Eagles finished 8th overall with a winning percentage of 0.458, making the playoffs for the first time in their history.
The Eagles also made it to the semi-finals of the GSL College Showcase in Centralia, Washington in July 2012.

2011 Season
Sam played for the Victoria Bantam Senior Eagles Baseball Team in 2011. The team were crowned the Provincial Champions in August of 2011 and went on to represent British Columbia in the National Championships in Vaughn, Ontario where they placed third in the Country.

Hockey
Sam played competitive hockey for 11 years. In 2013, he made the decision to pursue baseball full time and no longer plays hockey. His last team, for the 2012-13 season, was the Midget A Juan de Fuca Grizzlies in the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey League. He also played in the Spencer Middle School Hockey Academy in grades 7, 8, and 9.
